New to this....what I want to use this for

Ok, so I am a beginner to the blogging world...but here goes nothing.  What I really want to do with this blog is to share things I (or my friends/family) have made and also things that I want to try.  I find myself constantly wanting to try new things and ideas and (thanks to an amazingly understanding husband) I have fun spending my free time doing so.  It usually ends with our apartment being a huge mess...but most of the time it is worth it!  I hope you enjoy my creations...whether they inspire or humor you :) 

First picture posts:

1.  Purses made of old clothes.  I had tons of clothes in my closet which either didn't fit, were worn out, or simply out of style.  I cut them up and made some purses.  I also went to the local flea market and picked up some cheap clothes to help with the fabric options.  Here are two purses that I made...and I will post more as I finish them.  I will also post a how-to when I get a chance.

2.  My nephews "Very Hungry Caterpillar" costume.  This was my sisters first sewing project...and it was a HUGE success!  What a cute way to celebrate Halloween!  It is made with a jersey knit fabric for both the hat and swaddle.  I will also post a how-to when I get a chance.
